GameCube stopped reading discs?
Before you assume the laser is dead, it's usually the capacitors. The GameCube's disc drive has its own little board, and when those caps age out they can't hold enough voltage to read a disc cleanly.
The tell: It only reads after you open and close the lid a few times, or after it's been warming up for a minute or two (or maybe it doesn't read at all). That's usually a cap problem, not a laser problem
This service is a full recap of the optical drive board with fresh, properly rated capacitors. If the read issue is something else, spindle motor, worn laser, a dirty lens, or a bad ribbon, I diagnose and fix that too. Every console is tested with a real disc and confirmed reading before it ships back. If it turns out the drive can't be saved, you hear that up front
