Help get your Game Boy back into regular use. This mail-in service is for your existing console; a console is not included.
LISTED REPAIR OPTIONS
Power switch cleaning/replacement — $20.
Electrolytic capacitor replacement — $20.
The listed price covers the selected service, not every possible fault. Bench collects a $15 deposit toward the $20 service price, leaving $5 due by completion.
BEFORE ORDERING
Please share your Game Boy model, symptoms, any previous modifications or repair attempts, and clear photos. If you are unsure which service you need, contact me first so we can discuss the right next step.
THE PROCESS
I inspect and diagnose the console, then discuss the findings and any additional repair costs with you before proceeding with extra work. Repairs may involve power switches, electrolytic capacitors, volume controls, or other components depending on the fault and parts availability. I document the work with notes and photos and test the console after the repair.
A single symptom can have several causes, so a particular replacement part is not a guaranteed fix. Parts availability and the condition of your console affect the repair scope and timing; please discuss any deadline before ordering.
TURNAROUND
Target completion is within one week after your console and all required parts are on hand and the repair scope is agreed. Parts ordering and shipping add time; I will communicate any delay. Shipping is separate.
PHOTO EXAMPLES
Photos show examples of my Game Boy work. Cosmetic and screen upgrades pictured are separate services and are not included in the listed repair price. Games, cartridges, stands and consoles are not included.
